Bone Support

What is Pure Micronutrients Bone Support?

Pure Micronutrients Bone Support is a comprehensive bone health formula designed to support bone density, strength, and overall skeletal health. It combines calcium from two highly effective sources—calcium citrate and microcrystalline hydroxyapatite (MCHA)—along with essential cofactors including magnesium, vitamin D3, vitamin K2, zinc, manganese, boron, and silicon.

The formula was developed by our co-founder, a practicing nutritionist, after she was diagnosed with early-onset osteoporosis and wanted a practitioner-quality supplement without unnecessary fillers or compromises.

How much calcium is in Bone Support?

Each tablet contains 250 mg of elemental calcium.

  • 4 tablets per day = 1,000 mg calcium

  • 5 tablets per day = 1,250 mg calcium

Because the body absorbs calcium most efficiently in doses of 500 mg or less at a time, we recommend splitting your daily intake across the day.

How should I take Bone Support for best absorption?

We recommend splitting doses throughout the day:

  • 2 tablets in the morning

  • 2 tablets in the afternoon or evening

If taking 5 tablets daily:

  • 2 in the morning

  • 2 at lunch

  • 1 in the evening

Taking Bone Support with food improves mineral absorption and reduces the chance of stomach discomfort.

What forms of calcium does Bone Support use?

Bone Support contains two complementary forms of calcium:

Calcium Citrate

  • Highly absorbable

  • Gentle on digestion

  • Does not require stomach acid for absorption

Microcrystalline Hydroxyapatite (MCHA)

  • Naturally occurring form of calcium found in bone

  • Contains trace growth factors and minerals

  • Shown in studies to support bone density more effectively than calcium alone

Is MCHA better than calcium alone?

Research suggests that MCHA (also called ossein–hydroxyapatite complex) may be more effective than calcium salts alone for maintaining bone mass, particularly in postmenopausal women and individuals with osteopenia or osteoporosis. MCHA provides a bone-matrix–like structure that supports bone remodeling and strength.

Where is the bovine source from, and is it safe?

The MCHA in Bone Support is sourced from grass-fed, pasture-raised bovine bone from New Zealand.

  • Certified BSE-free

  • Produced from young bovine bone

  • No chemicals or artificial processing agents

  • Hormone-free

Does Bone Support contain strontium?

No. Bone Support does not contain strontium, either as an ingredient or in trace amounts.

Does Bone Support contain allergens such as tree nuts or shellfish?

No. Bone Support does not contain tree nuts, shellfish, or ingredients derived from them.

Are the tablets large? What are their dimensions?

Bone Support tablets measure approximately:

  • 1 inch long

  • 0.3 inches wide

  • 0.2 inches thick

They have smooth, tapered edges and a silky coating designed to make swallowing easier.

Can I cut, crush, or powder the tablets?

Yes. The coating on Bone Support tablets is not a delayed-release coating. If swallowing is difficult, tablets may be:

  • Cut in half

  • Crushed

  • Ground and mixed into soft foods (e.g., applesauce or smoothies)

This does not reduce potency or effectiveness.

Why are there brown speckles or color variations in the tablets?

Color variation is normal and expected.

  • Bone Support uses natural ingredients

  • No artificial dyes are added

  • Ingredient batches may naturally vary in color

These variations do not affect safety or effectiveness.

Can Bone Support affect sleep?

Bone Support does not contain stimulants.

However, some individuals may be sensitive to minerals taken close to bedtime. If sleep disruption occurs, try:

  • Taking tablets earlier in the day

  • Avoiding evening doses

Does Bone Support contain caffeine?

No. Bone Support contains no caffeine.

How much vitamin D does Bone Support provide?

Bone Support contains vitamin D3 as a supporting nutrient. Some individuals may require additional vitamin D depending on blood levels. Our Pure D3 supplements can be used alongside Bone Support if needed.

Can I combine Bone Support with additional calcium citrate?

Yes. Some customers choose to "top up" with a standalone calcium citrate supplement to meet higher prescribed calcium targets without increasing tablet count too much.

Always consult your healthcare provider if you have been given a specific calcium prescription.

Is Bone Support suitable for people with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia)?

We understand that swallowing tablets can be difficult for some individuals, particularly as we age.

  • Tablets may be crushed or powdered

  • A powdered version of Bone Support is currently in development

Customer feedback has played an important role in ongoing formulation improvements.

Is Bone Support vegan?

No. Bone Support contains MCHA, which is derived from bovine bone.

Where is Bone Support manufactured?

Bone Support is manufactured in the United States in facilities that are:

  • FDA cGMP compliant

  • UL certified

  • ISO-accredited

Can I take Bone Support while fasting?

Bone Support contains minerals that are best absorbed with food. While it does not contain sugars or calories, we recommend taking it with meals for best absorption and comfort.

Can I take Bone Support with medications?

Calcium can interfere with the absorption of certain medications, including some antibiotics and thyroid medications.

We recommend separating Bone Support from medications by 2–3 hours and consulting your healthcare provider if unsure.

Who should check with a healthcare provider before using Bone Support?

Please consult your healthcare provider if you:

  • Have kidney disease or kidney stones

  • Have calcium metabolism disorders

  • Are taking prescription medications

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
